Thank you to everyone who submitted "Colour" front cover images for This Detailed Life Edition 3. We received so many amazingly vibrant entries! With over 1400 excellent submissions we had a very hard time narrowing it down to just two!

Huge congratulations to our winner Jackie Haxthausen! We love not only the mix of colours in your image but also the scale and connotations of rising up into that gorgeous sky. It inspires hope as we enter into spring when we publish this edition and with any luck, lockdowns will be becoming a thing of the past!
Again, we loved so many of the entries, we decided to show you our shortlist too. Bex, (our Founding Editor) mocked up each one that made it to the final stages of selection and we've tagged the photographers so please do go and leave them some love over on Instagram...
Our first runner up is Lakshmi Mahalingham. Her beautiful self portrait will be our back cover, we just love that dappled light and vibrant yellow wall against her purple sari!
Congratulations to all of you - you're so talented. If only we could have 8 front covers!
So what's next?
General submissions are open NOW! We want to give you all even more time to submit your work for this edition and we have brought forward publication to May so let's get this ball rolling! The deadline is 3rd March so you have 6 whole weeks to get your entries in! BUT we recommend that you get organised asap! We did have some technical problems with our online form close to the deadline last time with a last minute rush, we don't think it could keep up! ;)
